Zonnique Pullins Opens Up About Impact Of T.I. And Tiny’s Relationship On Her life

Zonnique Pullins, the daughter of Xscape singer Tameka “Tiny” Harris and rapper T.I.’s stepdaughter, recently discussed her relationship with her mom during an interview on The Jay Hill Podcast.

The 26-year-old talked about her childhood and how her mom’s absence while touring affected her. She revealed that she didn’t get as much quality time with her famous mom as she would have liked.

“I would say what hurt me would be like, honestly, my mom being with Tip all the time,” she said. “I feel like even now today, like, that’s how it is. Like they’re just tied to the hip. But now I’m grown, so it’s like I can’t really give a f*ck.”

“It’s like they rather go places with each other, so anytime he gotta go, she gotta go. She gotta go, he go,” she added.

Hill asked Zonnique what she would tell her mom if she could go back in time, to which she replied by admitting that she had taught herself not to be hurt about things and was emotionally numb to many of her feelings.

Zonnique explained that, when she was a child, she used to wish that her mom would come off the road and that her dad would come out of prison. However, after a while, she became accustomed to that being her life.

“When I was a kid I was like ‘Oh, I wish my mom would come off on the road’ and ‘I want my dad out of prison’ and after a while, I was like, ‘Oh, OK, this is my life.’ Like, you can’t really do anything, you become numb to it,” she said.

Zonnique’s biological dad, Zonnie Pullins, was in prison when she was younger, and T.I. has two older sons and a daughter from previous relationships, as well as three children with Tiny.

Zonnique, who became a mom in December 2020, stated that she doesn’t hold it against her mom that she was on the road so much. She revealed that she and her mom are now like best friends and that she now realizes the kind of mommy-daughter moments that she would have liked to have shared with her.
