YouTuber Tasha K Files Appeal One Month After Court Demands She Pay Cardi B $4 Million

Vlogger YouTuber Tasha K filed an appeal one month after court officials demanded that she pay rapper Cardi B $4 million.

Tasha’s legal team reportedly filed the appeal on her behalf on Mar. 17, following the decision that she was accountable for the false statements she previously made about Cardi on her channel.

“The above-named Defendants, Latasha Kebe and Kebe Studios LLC appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit from the final judgment entered on Feb. 17, 2022,” it stated. “Respectfully submitted this 17th day of March 2022.”

The filing was made after she reportedly claimed she didn’t have $4 million to give the rapper in February. Tasha was ordered to pay the whopping amount in damages for defamation, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

“I ain’t got it,” Tasha said about the money in an interview with media personality Kendra G. “Don’t ask me for no money. I ain’t got it, but listen, we have business and things in place that takes care of things like this. Now, of course, the appellate court and the supreme court is in process right now.”

However, the gossip queen still hasn’t filed her brief explaining why the judgment should be reversed.

Tasha, whose real name is Latasha Kebe, was accused of having a peculiar obsession with Cardi after making 40 videos alleging that she partook in questionable activities. She also claimed the “Bodak Yellow” musician’s then-unborn child “may have intellectual disabilities.” As a result, the gossip vlogger was ordered to pay the Grammy Award-winning artist $1.5 million in punitive damages and $1 million for pain and suffering or reputational injury. She was also ordered to pay the rapper $250,000 in medical expenses and $1,338,753.47 in attorney fees.

Cardi reportedly thanked the jury involved in the high-profile libel case, saying, “These past couple of years have been difficult for me and constantly reliving it. Very hard for me.”

She also took to Twitter and penned a cryptic tweet on Feb. 21.

“Think this is a game, but trust imma come for everything,” she wrote.
