A viral video of rapper Young M.A has fans concerned about her health.
FatsDaBarber, a well-known comedian and Wild N’ Out cast member, posted the video on his Instagram Story on Tuesday. The footage showed the “OOOUUU” rapper in a barber shop for a fresh haircut to return to her renowned shaved style.
Fans inevitably noticed the yellowness of the rapper’s eyes as he spun her in the barber chair. And while the performer is known to have light skin, even her scalp appeared sickly yellow.
“Real life transformation,” the barber said.
Young M.A responded by mumbling something inaudible.

People quickly bashed the barber for posting a video of the rapper in her state.
I think it’s really fucked up how the barber put Young Ma on blast today!! It’s nobody’s business what she got going on and if she wanted to share it she probably would have by now. Y’all need to know your place and mind your damn business. Sending prayers & love your way!🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽

first of all young ma barber is wrong for even posting her in that condition. he’s been cutting her for awhile he has enough content of her. as a barber you’re also a therapist. the barbershop is suppose to be a safe place. smh

FatsDaBarber quickly corrected the Twitter pitchfork mob on his Instagram Story, writing, “Y’all got so much to say as if I’m trying to embarrass my dawg. She reposted my video. If she didn’t want me to record, she would have told me. Y’all don’t know our bond, nor our friendship.”
He continued, “What y’all need to do is just send your prayers for her, and that’s that. She didn’t have a haircut in a month, and she wanted me to bring her haircut back to life and which I did!!!!!!”
On Wednesday, the rapper posted an update on her health to assuage her fans’ concerns.
“As many of my supporters know, I’ve been dealing with various personal health issues the last few years,” the post read. “I recently was hospitalized and was successfully treated for several conditions. I’m doing better now, it will take some time, but I’m on the road to recovery and look forward to the future.”
She concluded, “I’m in good spirits, and everything will be explained in the music! Plus documentary..Love y’all all, MAB! Don’t worry. I’m good! Bless up.”
According to Cleveland Clinic, yellow skin and eyes are a sign of liver issues and could be jaundice, where elevated bilirubin levels cause discoloration of the eyes and skin.
Sis2Sis reported in 2021 that the rapper checked into rehab due to her drug and alcohol addiction, which could have impacted her liver.
