A woman who claimed to be the niece of Kim Porter, Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ex and mother to three of his children, sued the music mogul for allegedly firing her for being pregnant and unmarried after she requested maternity leave.
The lawsuit is ongoing, and very few details are publicized. Yet, the woman, filed under Jane Doe, gave her account of the events leading up to her being fired.
According to TMZ, Doe stated in the complaint that the Bad Boy Records founder asked her to move into his home to become a 24-hour nanny to his now 15-year-old twin daughters, Jessie James and D’Lila, after Porter’s death. 2020 is when Doe became pregnant. She stated in the lawsuit that Combs was allegedly “infuriated” upon learning about her pregnancy and immediately fired her right before she was supposed to go on maternity leave.
Doe claimed the rapper’s representatives informed her that she was terminated because she was pregnant and unmarried and didn’t want that type of influence around his daughters, allegedly stating it “set a bad example.”
TMZ reported that the woman’s name is Raven. A source close to Combs called the lawsuit a “shakedown” and said the “wrongful termination” claims were a lie, including her claim that she was the niece of Porter, who was found unresponsive and pronounced dead in her Toluca Lake home. It was later revealed the cause of death was pneumonia.
“This lawsuit is a meritless shakedown to extort money from Mr.Combs,” the spokesperson said. “Raven is not the niece of Kim Porter as she falsely alleges; nor is there any legal basis for this case to be filed under the anonymity as a ‘Jane Doe.’ Raven was a part-time babysitter to the twins, who Mr. Combs kept on the job back in 2018 to provide continuity for the twins following the untimely death of their mother. Mr. Combs graciously permitted Raven to live in his home with her son and treated them like ‘family.’”
The person continued, “Her babysitting services were always intended to be temporary, especially since the girls were getting older and spending most of the day at school. In fact, Raven’s transition out of her role was planned and agreed to by her long before she even mentioned that she was pregnant. Mr. Combs will take swift and immediate action to protect his family against these false claims.”
Diddy also has a 16-year-old daughter named Chance, whom he had with his ex-girlfriend, Sarah Chapman. He and Porter parented a son, 24-year-old Christian.
