Get Out and The Photograph actor LaKeith Stanfield had a lot going on last weekend, from getting engaged to being accused of fathering a secret child.
It all started when he and his now-fiancée, Kasmere Trice, announced their engagement, sharing black-and-white photos on Twitter and Instagram.
“Yea.. I’m having the best birthday,” Trice wrote in a Twitter post. “My baby made me Mrs. Stanfield for my birthday!”

Stanfield made a birthday post for Trice, posting a photo of her donning a shiny, round diamond ring and writing in the caption, “Happy birthday to you, baby.”
But the couple’s sweet moment turned sour online once an artist named Tylor Hurd revealed through a since-deleted Instagram post that Stanfield was the father of her child by posting photos and videos of him with her.
“Decided to leave being someone’s secret family in 2022,” Hurd wrote. “Meet Apollo Stanfield.”
Stanfield was unhappy with how Hurd divulged their business to the public and responded in the comments section.
“Thanks for respecting my not wanting to blast my child out to the internet. Very considerate of you.”
Hurd rebutted, “Value your privacy is why you lied to people saying she wasn’t your baby, or that I was just a random? You value your privacy, but your gf post everything y’all do lol okay.”
“I never once in life said she wasn’t my baby,” Stanfield clarified. “I hope this does whatever it was supposed to do for you.”
He added, “My adult relationship privacy and children are two different things. I’m sure you realize that.”
Hurd took to her Instagram story to clarify that her reveal had nothing to do with Stanfield and Trice’s engagement.
“Just to clear a few things up. I’m not jealous [that] he’s engaged to a woman he’s known for 5 months, I tried to meet the girl and everything, and she ignored me when I tried,” Hurd wrote. “What I’m upset about is that he’s made more time to spend with this woman than he’s spent with Apollo her whole life and has been actively ignoring me when i’m trying to figure things out for our child. And those clips of him and her together are all I have in general [because] he barely sees her.”

She had more to say on Twitter, deleting the posts after claiming Stanfield wasn’t a good father.
“He’s not a good dad, lol I can count on my hand how many times he’s been with my girl,” the tweet read. “I got a job, and he agreed to get the nanny, never got the nanny. I always did my part and always tried to give him grace.”
She continued in another tweet, “Finding out the man you had a baby with is the worst person you ever met is heartbreaking [for real].”
