Will Smith became the body positive icon we didn’t know we needed after his candid Instagram posts about his pandemic weight gain inspired other men to flaunt their dad bods.
Last Sunday, Smith posted a picture of himself on Instagram standing outside wearing a hoodie, house shoes, and underwear.
“I’m gonna be real wit yall – I’m in the worst shape of my life,” he captioned the photo.

A couple of days later, the Suicide Squad star posted another photo of himself in his drawls with his hands planted on his hip. Smith used the caption to tell the world how he feels about his body and plans to get in shape. He also revealed the journey would be documented by YouTube.
“This is the body that carried me through an entire pandemic and countless days grazing thru the pantry,” the actor wrote on Instagram. “I love this body, but I wanna FEEL better. No more midnight muffins…this is it! Imma get in the BEST SHAPE OF MY LIFE!!!!! Teaming up with @YouTube to get my health & wellness back on track. Hope it works!”

CNN reports the six-part series will be produced by Smith’s production company Westbook Media. The show will feature guest stars, including athletes and scientists.
Smith’s boldness has inspired other men to sport their dad bods, including beer bellies and back rolls for the rest of the world to see. Many of his famous friends participated.

He also had regular dudes posting pictures of themselves in various states of undress.
Some of the guys used the hashtags #bigwilliechallenge and #dadbodychallenge. Basically, there’s a bunch of n***as in their drawls on the internet, just in time for Hot Everybody Summer. Big Willie got a kick out of it and issued a challenge with a deadline.
“Hahahahaha – Let’s go get it! After pics due in 12 weeks,” Smith wrote.
It looks like the fellas need to feel some body love too. We love to see it.
