Wendy Williams was a no-show at an upcoming speaking engagement for which she was reportedly paid $25,000 at the Atlanta Women’s Expo because of her condition.

Wendy pulled out of a speaking engagement at the last minute, according to The U.S. Sun, claiming she had a medical emergency that took priority.

Saturday, apologizing for the late cancellation,” a rep for the 58-year-old star told the outlet.

The Sun reported that someone close to Wendy said there was an initial rift within her team, with some people wanting Wendy to take the stage and others questioning her performance. The insider suggested that Wendy was struggling to form complete sentences.

“Wendy’s ability to perform has been rocky at best. She can put together a sentence one day but not the next,” the insider said. “There have been serious questions recently about if she will ever get better.”

At the Atlanta Women’s Expo, which takes place on Saturday, May 20 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cobb Galleria Centre, Wendy was scheduled to discuss her three-decade career as a keynote speaker and preview her journey into life and the pursuit of true happiness.

Wendy has had a number of health issues over the years, including Graves’ Disease, an autoimmune disorder that causes the thyroid gland to overproduce thyroid hormone; Thyroid Storm, a life-threatening condition that can occur when someone with Graves’ Disease experiences a sudden increase in their thyroid hormone levels; Sepsis, a serious condition that occurs when the body’s response to an infection damages its own tissues and organs; Lymphedema, a condition in which the body’s lymphatic system becomes overfilled with lymph fluid; Vertigo, a condition that causes a feeling of dizziness or spinning. Wendy has spoken about experiencing vertigo on several occasions, and she was diagnosed with COVID-19 in 2021.
