WATCH: Desus and Mero Narrate Peter Gunz Fighting A “Cheaters” Guest, And We Can’t Stop Laughing

When Peter Gunz announced that he would be hosting a new reboot of Cheaters, the reality show where guests find out if their partner is unfaithful, he seemed to be a pretty good fit. But nothing fit better than Showtime’s Desus and Mero adding their side-splitting commentary.

The hip-hop artist and reality television star gained prominence on  VH1’s Love & Hip Hop, where he infamously toyed with the hearts of babies’ mama, Tara Wallace, and ex-wife Amina Buddafly.

While Gunz may be the perfect candidate for the infidelity-riddled show, a guest on a recent episode of

Cheaters proved he was not for the games and ended up shoving the host before the two threw hands during filming.

Things appeared to be going well– initially. Gunz had invited a male guest to the show to determine whether his girlfriend had been cheating behind his back. But once confronted with video evidence and a few too many jokes from Gunz, the guest ended up pushing Gunz and cursing out the entire film crew.

After showing the man a video of his girlfriend allegedly bringing another man into her bedroom, Gunz appears to joke, “Put her in a d*** coma.”

The unidentified guest was clearly with the sh**ts because he threw the former rapper’s phone and said, “Man, put that sh** up, man. F*** this sh**, man!”

The ballsy beau then shoved him.

Gunz responded by slapping the guest he brought on to help, and the two men then took their fight to the street– where security intervened. Whether he was trying to de-escalate the situation or be shady, Gunz told the man, “If I offended you, I apologize. Let’s get this to him. I need you to channel this energy towards the man that’s with your lady right now.”

Desus and Mero cackled about the incident.

After the brawl, the two joked, “He’s like, ‘Yo, don’t beat me up. Let’s beat this n***a up.”

The guest then wasted no time following his advice. Shortly after confronting his girlfriend and her secret lover, he immediately kicked the sidepiece in the chest. Mero responded to the Jackie Chan-style front kick saying, “Yo, he didn’t even get to say this is Peter Pankey (Gunz’s given name).”

Between the explosion of laughter, Desus clapped back, “Kicked him right in his Xpress shirt.”

Gunz stood in the background, trying to avoid the jilted lover’s smoke. The guest was finally subdued by security with a “three-quarter Nelson,” but he let everybody know that his hands were Rated E for Everyone.

Maybe  Desus and Mero can narrate Cheaters, their play-by-play was a blessing and balm.
