On Nov. 19, while performing her hit songs during CBS’ Adele One Night Only television event on Sunday night, Adele chose to pause her show and spotlight an engagement proposal, allowing a couple to have their big moment in front of the concert crowd and countless at-home viewers.
The London-born singer whispered to the crowd to quiet down before the bride-to-be was brought out. “I need every single person to be really bloody quiet, alright? Just turn the lights down,” she
told the audience, jokingly adding, “If you make a noise, I’m gonna kill you.”The couple, with the woman blindfolded, then walked out together in front of the crowd. Clearly confused, she can be heard asking, “What are we doing?” before her now-fiancé faced her and bent down on one knee to pop the question.
“I want to say thank you, okay?” he said while looking into her eyes. “I want to thank you for being so patient with me. I am extremely proud of you and, I mean, every day you blow my mind. There’s absolutely nothing that you cannot do, and I just know that you’re going to be an amazing mother to our kids one day, and I love you.”

After joking that she’s been his girlfriend “for so long,” she let out an enthusiastic yes to the proposal while fighting back tears. Adding to the surprise, Adele emerged from the dark stage to tell the newly-engaged couple that they have reserved seats in the front row and that she’ll be singing a song dedicated to them.
Belting out the romantic lyrics of her 2008 song “Make You Feel My Love,” the Grammy-winning singer followed up by congratulating the couple on their new exciting chapter.
