A man proposed to his girlfriend on stage at Wale’s concert at Chicago’s House Of Blues on Monday, Jan. 31.
In footage posted via Wale’s Twitter page on Feb. 1, the concert-goer popped the question after the Washington D.C. rapper brought them on stage.
“Where you from,” the musician initially asked the couple, and they responded that they were from the West side of Chicago.
Then, he asked the girlfriend, identified as Ivy in the video, “Is there anything that you want to ask…about your partner?”
She simply replied, “he’s perfect.”

Shortly after, the man grabbed the mic and began explaining how long he’s been in a relationship with Ivy then, got down on one knee.
“So I met you six years ago, and I just wanted to tell you I want you to be my person forever,” he said.
Naturally, the crowd went wild with excitement, and they screamed.
Videographer Devin Fonrose captured the whole ordeal.
Wale was so happy for the couple that he wrote his thoughts about what happened on Twitter.
“Dawg somebody proposed to they girl at my show last night ON STAGE…and I haven’t stopped thinkin’ bout it. The girl was SO happy, shaking and cryin’. That level of love is so intimidating I never really grasped it.. to see it like that up close was amazing.”
