WAIT, WHAT?! Beyoncé Shows Love To Lizzo At Atlanta Show, ‘I Love You’

Beyoncé stunned her audience during her third Atlanta show on Monday, Aug. 14, amid her Renaissance World Tour, by giving a shoutout to Lizzo in the “Break My Soul (The Queens Remix)” performance.

In the song, Beyoncé paid homage to influential women in the entertainment industry, from Erykah Badu and Kelly Rowland to Lauryn Hill and Solange Knowles. Lizzo’s name is included.

Immediately following the severe allegations against the “Grrrls” songstress, social media went berserk after Beyoncé skipped Lizzo’s name during the “Break My Soul (The Queens Remix)” portion of the Boston show in early August. Many assumed it had something to do with the lawsuit the “Special” singer’s former dancers filed against her.

Beyoncé put those allegations to rest when she directed a special message to Lizzo.

“Lizzo! I love you, Lizzo!”

In addition to Lizzo’s, Queen B skipped over Kelly’s name in the Boston show to repeat Badu’s name because the “Tyrone” hitmaker took to Instagram before the show, seemingly accusing Beyoncé of copying her style by wearing a chromatic hat.

The buzz around Beyoncé and Lizzo caused her mom Tina Knowles to take to social media to tell the internet to simmer down.

“She also didn’t say her own sister’s name. Y’all should really stop…,” Momma Knowles wrote.

The controversy surrounding the “About Damn Time” singer started when three of her former dancers filed a lawsuit against her on Tuesday, Aug. 1, accusing her of having a hostile work environment and sexual harassment, Sis2Sis

reported.

One alarming allegation claimed Lizzo forced her dancers to physically interact with sex workers and nude performers at a Bananenbar club in Amsterdam’s Red Light District.

“Lizzo began inviting cast members to take turns touching the nude performers, catching dildos launched from the performers’ vaginas, and eating bananas protruding from the performers’ vaginas,” the lawsuit read. Lizzo then turned her attention to Ms. Davis began pressuring Ms. Davis to touch the breasts of one of the nude women performing at the club.”

Arianna Davis, one of the plaintiffs, stated she firmly and audibly declined to participate, but the lawsuit said many claimed to have engaged out of fear of losing their jobs.

Lizzo released a statement regarding the allegations on her Instagram.

“Usually, I chose not to respond to false allegations, but these are as unbelievable as they sound and too outrageous to not be addressed. The sensationalized stories are coming from former employees who have already publicly admitted they were told their behavior on tour was inappropriate and unprofessional,” she wrote on Instagram.
