View Co-host Meghan McCain Got Schooled By MSNBC’s Tiffany Cross

The View co-host, Meghan McCain, also known as the late senator, Sen. John McCain’s daughter, made hostile comments on “identity politics,” and MSNBC broadcaster Tiffany Cross quickly gathered and collected the problematic race-baiter.

BET reported that McCain denounced Senators Tammy Duckworth and Mazie Hirono’s demand for the Biden administration to have more Asian representation and said gender and race are more important than “your skill qualifications.”

“We’ve only had one Asian-American host co-host this show,” said McCain. “So does that mean that one of us should be leaving at some point because there’s not enough representation?”

Cross commented on McCain on her MSNBC show, Cross Connection, challenging her remarks about elevating Asian representation, favoring her father on several media platforms, and added historical facts about the phrase, “identity politics.” She informed everyone that phrase was penned by writer, Barbara Smith and the overall purpose was to “articulate Black women’s struggle at the nexus of race, gender, and class oppressions.”

“In response, McCain whose talent as far as I can tell is finding great Black hairstylists and benefitting from nepotism, had this to say,” said Cross. “Meghan happens to be the daughter of the late Republican senator John McCain. But don’t tell anyone because obviously she’d never want to bring that up every five minutes in lieu of having intellectual exchange.”

She ended her segment with, “Everyone deserves to see themselves reflected in this space. And as someone who grew up yearning to see my lived experience reflected back to me, and the had to crawl, claw, and fight as every turn to take up space in broadcast media, I simply ask: How dare you,” said Cross. “From now on, I hope you speak less and listen more, and take a little time to enjoy this view.”

Guardian journalist, Arwa Mahdawi, recognized McCain’s impudent attitude when she said, “She is the definition of toxic femininity and she is not good at listening to criticism after misrepresenting Muslim Congresswoman, Ihan Omar’s comments about the Israel lobby in the United States. McCain blamed Omar for the Chabad of Poway synagogue shooting in San Diego. In the end, it was a white man who burned down the mosque and late-night host, Seth Meyers was vocal about her antics on the show.”

Journalist and author of After the Flag Has Been Folded, Karen Spears Zacharias, wrote in her blog that McCain is “jealous and has a mean girl problem” after disagreeing with the politician Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s radical viewpoints. When Ocasio-Cortez became Congress, McCain said she was trying to bring socialism into the United States and calling her a “Democratic Socialist,” instead of recognizing that her ideas were similar to her fathers.

After the video went viral, individuals commented on her post, including journalists Samson Styles and Jemele Hill. Cross’ delivery was mind-blowing to Instagram followers and journalists, and expressed their thoughts when they said, “Somebody put this to the Hit Em Up Beat,” or “Ouch!! You caught a body on this one.”
