Video: Watch The Trailer For Janet Jackson’s New Documentary ‘Janet’

Superstar Janet Jackson has released a trailer for her upcoming documentary Janet. Jackson posted the trailer for the four-hour documentary to social media on Sept. 6.

Janet will include never-before-seen footage from Jackson’s private home videos as well as interviews with members of her famous family. Popstar Paula Abdul, songstress Mariah Carey, and rapper Missy Elliot appear in the documentary and other celebrities.

Jackson is also an executive producer of the documentary and posted a message with the teaser. The video begins with Abdul, Elliot and Carey commenting on Jackson before footage from the documentary is shown set against audio of Jackson’s “Control.”

“Hey u guys. Excited to share the first teaser of my new documentary with u. 😘 #JanetDoc.,” wrote Jackson.

The teaser claims the documentary reveals unfiltered tea and will be told by Jackson and those who know her best.

“This is my story, told by me, not through someone else’s eyes. This is the truth. Take it or leave it. Love it or hate it. This is me,” Jackson said.

“She’s a force to be reckoned with.” said Abdul in the teaser.

“She’s an empowered woman,” Carey said.

The documentary is being released exactly 40 years after Jackson’s 1982 album “Janet” premiered. Jackson’s brother, Randy Jackson, is also an executive producer on Janet,

directed by Ben Hirsch.

Fans were excited about the documentary on social media. A few fans wondered if she was going to spill the Super Bowl tea. Jackson performed at the 2004 half-time show with Justin Timberlake and had a wardrobe malfunction.

Timberlake ripped off a piece of Jackson’s costume during the live performance, and her breast was exposed to 140 million viewers. Jackson quickly covered herself, but it was too late. Jackson, but not Timberlake, was blamed for the mishap because, well, it is

Amerikkka.

Janet will debut in January 2022 and will air over two nights on A&E and Lifetime.
