The teaser trailer dropped for the new film by Jordan Peele, Nope, on Feb. 8, and it appears the full trailer will air during the Super Bowl on Feb. 13.
The teaser was definitely just that, a tease, and the full trailer won’t be released until Super Bowl Sunday. Peele and the crew have kept the plot under wraps for the most part, but the film’s cast is no secret.
The Nope cast includes actors Keke Palmer, Daniel Kaluuya, who starred in Peele’s Get Out and The Walking Dead’s Steven Yeun.
Peele’s directorial debut, Get Out, was nominated for four Academy Awards and won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.
While the plot has been kept quiet, the teaser trailer suggests some sort of alien invasion. The characters in the trailer are all seen looking up to the sky with shocked expressions on their faces. One shot shows Keke Palmer looking up with a terrified expression. A promotion for the film also showed what appeared to be a large object in the sky floating over a city.

Fans were excited about the film on social media. Some speculated what the movie was about, while others did not want any context whatsoever and wanted to be in the dark, so to speak, when they saw the film.
“Anyone else picking up on the significance of the release date for Jordan Peele’s NPE!? I don’t know if I’m reading too much into this, but this definitely looks significant from a serial killer point of view and a reason to say NOPE!! #NopeMovie.”

If Peele’s films Get Out and Us are any indication, Nope is sure to be a film worth seeing. Both films earned more than $255 million at the box office. They were also well-received by critics and fans alike.
Nope is scheduled for release on July 22, 2022.
