Award-winning actress and film producer Marsai Martin recently commemorated her 18th birthday with a very lavish star-studded party.

Marsai celebrated her big milestone with a Shrek-themed birthday party on Aug. 14. She took to Instagram to gush over the star-studded celebration, which was attended by her loved ones and celebrity friends, including R&B singer Kelly Rowland and actress and model Karrueche Tran.

“Ever since I was little, I have believed Shrek 2 was the greatest movie of all time…and for the past 17 years, I knew for my 18th that I would do a Shrek-themed party,” Marsai wrote. “Best believe if I want it…I go get it [champagne glasses emoji]. Thank you, Loriann, Maya and the whole @wifeoftheparty team for helping me bring my vision to life. [A] special thank you to all those in attendance for showing up and showing out. Especially grateful to those that let themselves really get lost in our world. [There were] sooo many amazing looks, and so much beauty all in one place. Another chapter in the book. I hope you all enjoyed [white heart emoji] until next time.”

For her party, she wore a fabulous custom emerald green gown designed by Black designer DaSh Holcomb of Da Shoné By DaSh and styled by celebrity stylist Bryon Javar. She also wore cascading curls and glamorous makeup, which came to life via celebrity makeup artist Diana Shin and others.

“Princess Fiona has arrived! [green heart emoji]. We created this custom Gown, Gloves & Grand Boa for @marsaimartin Kingdom Of Far Far Away Birthday Party,” Holcomb wrote in an Instagram post sharing Marsai’s gown on Aug. 15.

That day, Shin shared a behind-the-scenes video of the now-18-year-old getting her flawless face done as well.

Marsai thanked everyone who partook in glamming her up for her special day, saying, “Thank you, God, for another year around the sun [stars emoji].”
