VIDEO: Drake Brings Out First Girlfriend Keshia Chanté On Stage At OVO Fest

Grammy Award-winning rapper, actor, and songwriter Drake brought out his first girlfriend, Canadian singer and TV host Keshia Chanté, on stage at OVO Fest.

According to reports, Drake, whose full name is Aubrey Drake Graham, introduced Keshia to the stage during the “All Canadian Northstars” segment of his OVO Fest. The segment, which celebrated legendary Canadian artists, including R&B singer Glenn Lewis and rapper Kardinal Offishall, took place on July 28.

“This next person coming to the stage, I used to get in my mom’s car, and I used to drive all the way to the west for this one right here, you feel me? So I have to personally introduce her,” Drake said before Keshia’s performance. “This is [the] first girlfriend I ever had in my life.”

The Honestly Nevermind artist also confirmed that she was the “Kiki” he famously sang about on the hook of his 2018 hit song, “In My Feelings.”

The two dated several years ago, Drake said at OVO Fest 2022, and they are reportedly still good friends.

Keshia took to Instagram on July 28 to thank the Toronto native for having her perform at OVO Fest 2022 and for the warm introduction.

“I’ve never seen the city come together like that! It was everything. A dream only @champagnepapi could make true. [That was] the most heartfelt & meaningful introduction I’ve ever had. Aubs, I love you for life,” she said. “Performing songs I dropped in my teen years and hearing you sing all the words made my soul so happy. Such a beautiful memory I will cherish forever. Toronto, you have been riding for me since the very beginning, and I am so grateful for the love.”

Keshia rose to international fame back in 2013 when she became a co-host on BET’s now-defunct hit music video countdown show, 106 & Park, with the ’00s rapper and TV host Bow Wow. Before the show, she made waves as an R&B singer in Canada with the songs “Does He Love Me” (2004), “Bad Boy” (2004) and “Fallen” featuring Drake (2006), among others.
