VIDEO: 2Chainz Addresses ‘Disrespectful’ Uber Driver Incident Involving His Wife And Children

On Feb. 4, 2Chainz spoke to Hot 97 about an outrageous incident involving his wife, children, and an Uber driver.

Initially, he uploaded a video about the situation on his Instagram page on Jan. 31.

In the clip, his wife Kesha Epps is heard arguing with a driver as multiple people file out of a car. More specifically, she called the driver a “p***y a**.”

Then, the camera panned over to children standing outside the car as Epps yelled expletives at the Uber driver.

“Hey, @uber, we need to get this right. A driver was very disrespectful to my wife and kids and tried to put them out in the snow,” 2Chainz wrote beneath the video.

During his interview with Hot 97 with Ebro Darden of the Ebro in the Morning, 2Chainz explained what happened but not without giving props to his daughter for capturing everything on video.

“My daughter was videotaping. My daughter was actually the genius behind that,” he said. “They were at a volleyball tournament out of town, and it was snowing…so, my driver ended up getting an Uber to some steakhouse or something.”

The rapper mentioned that he didn’t want to tell the whole story, but he continued anyway.

“So when they get back, something led to something else, where my wife felt disrespected by the driver, you know what I’m saying? He acted like he wanted to put them out, but that wasn’t gonna happen because it was snowing and she was with her kids. My wife is a very sweet person, but when it involved the kids, you know, animal instincts kicked in. That’s just what it was.”

Thankfully, the Atlanta rapper said Uber had since reached out, and he had plenty of receipts to show them. He also applauded his daughter again for recording the whole ordeal.

“My daughter did a great job at just sitting there filming the whole thing…I only put up a small piece of the video.”

Darden said he was impressed by 2Chainz’s “diplomatic” response to the Uber driver’s alleged actions.

In his interview with Darden, the Atlanta native also discussed his entrepreneurial endeavors, including his restaurant Escobar, in his hometown. However, he failed to address recent accusations of managerial abuse, vermin infestation, and underpaid employees at his establishment.

“I have a restaurant called Escobar that’s been open five years,” he said. “I’ve also franchised it kinda internally, and now I’m about to start publicly franchising it in other places. It’s not easy to have a restaurant that’s successful out in the red, doing well for this amount of time.”

Additionally, 2Chainz said that Atlanta fast-food chain Krystal recently named him head of creative marketing.
