Usher’s Ex-Wife Tameka Foster Posts Poignant Tribute On Social Media To Her Late Son Kile

Usher’s ex-wife, Tameka Foster, posted a poignant tribute to her late son on Instagram.

Nearly ten years after losing her 11-year-old son in a terrible boating accident, Tameka shared a touching video slideshow on July 6. The heartfelt tribute was backed by Brady, Gladys Knight, Chaka Khan and Tamia’s hit single “Missing You.”

The post accompanied the caption, “10 years… a million tears. It does not get easier. I will love and think of you ALL the days of my life. Missing you.”

Tameka continued to bring attention to the Kile’s World Foundation, asking her followers to support the cause however they could. She wrote, “Today in honor of my heartbeat Kile please support the

@itskilesworld foundation. Our efforts are ongoing. Ghana in May was a success but we would like to do more. Your support is needed. No amount is too small, everything counts. TEXT “KILE” to 2028581233 or to KilesWorld.org Thank you for the calls and texts.. I’m ok. I remain at peace, steadfast and focused. I appreciate everyone. Thank you.”

The accident that claimed her son’s life occurred ten years back after a man driving a personal watercraft ran over him in an inner tube, causing significant brain damage,

according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The 11-year-old boy later passed away from heart failure after being brought to the hospital unresponsive.

The still-grieving mother also shared a post on Instagram for his birthday.

Tameka wanted to pass along her strength after experiencing such a tremendous loss. In an interview with Essence, she said, “I learned that I’m stronger than I thought. Nothing could have ever prepared me for the cards that I’ve been dealt. I still have times where I fall apart and that’s okay. People on social media feel like they know you, and they think they know the ins and outs of your life and how you feel, but they only see a fraction of what you’re going through — only what you show them.”
