Usher began his long-awaited Las Vegas residency show this past Friday night, performing in the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, a large Sin City venue known for its 15,700 sq. ft. stage. According to PEOPLE, the Grammy award-winning entertainer dazzled a sold-out crowd with hits like “Confessions” and “Yeah,” and even brought out the infamous “Usher Bucks” that once landed the singer in a strip club scandal.
The “money” donning the singer’s face reportedly rained over the 4,000 attendees during the nearly two-hour show.

“Usher: The Las Vegas Residency” included dancers getting down in front of the large crowd on stripper poles, PEOPLE reported. Known for his own unique moves, Usher reportedly impressed the crowd by performing on roller skates, proving his superstar capability.
Thanking his fans for showing up and supporting him, Usher wrote on Instagram Tuesday, “Thanks for an unforgettable opening weekend. Couldn’t have done it without you. #UsherVegas #Ushh”

Usher recently told Entertainment Weekly about the Las Vegas residency show’s first night, “I was really overwhelmed. One, looking out in the audience to see my fans, but to have my actual family here with me, my mother was in the house, my children were there, my agents were there, managers, old and new, accountants, lawyers, all of the people who have been a part of this incredible process of transition were there… and I’m like, ‘Man, we made it, and we’re back open.’”
The 42-year-old continued, “I think this pandemic gave us an opportunity to really value the things and people around us, to see each other, and in that moment, that’s what I felt.”
Tickets for Usher’s residency are available for purchase online.
