We might finally know why Jasmine Davis left her role in Season 5 of The Chi. According to Page Six, a source said producers discovered Davis allegedly had submitted a fake COVID vaccination card prompting an investigation. “Jasmine asked for a vaccination exemption when she submitted a vaccination card for the prior season. This triggered an investigation, and Jasmine then quit the show,” the source said. The legislation was signed into law in March by Governor Ron DeSantis and censors classroom discussions surrounding sexual orientation or expression. However, Davis tweeted to “urge all media and bloggers to not use my departure from @SHOTheChi as a political stance.” When a fan asked her why the actress would not be returning for Season 5 of the show, Davis responded, “The reasons will be discussed at a later time.”
