UPDATE: ‘Walking Dead’ Actor Moses J. Moseley Death May Not Have Been Suicide, Investigators Say

The investigation into the shooting death of The Walking Dead actor Moses J. Moseley was confirmed by police that he had taken his own life. However, new evidence in the case suggests possible foul play, according to TMZ.

Moseley’s body was found in his car on Jan. 26 in Stockbridge, Georgia, near the Hudson Bridge. Police said he suffered from a gunshot wound to the head, Sis2Sis reported

.

While the police concluded that the actor’s death was an apparent suicide, other factors in the case have been presented.

Captain Randy Lee of the Stockbridge, Georgia Police Department told the outlet, “During the preliminary investigation, the potential of the death being a suicide was considered while not ruling out any other possibilities. As investigators progressed their investigation and more evidence was processed, reviewed and analyzed, other possibilities have presented themselves including accidental.”

According to one of Moseley’s family members, investigators said the blood splatter after the bullet entered the 31-year-old’s skull wasn’t aligned

with his grip on the gun. As a result, the evidence in the case doesn’t conclude with suicide.

The family member said the bullet entered Mosley’s left eye and never left his skull. People who shoot themselves will likely put the gun to their temple, and the bullet exits on the other side or in their mouth. New evidence also suggested that someone may have put the gun to the actor’s head after he had a “loose grip” on the weapon.

Mosley’s family believed something wasn’t right about his death from the beginning. They thought he might have been kidnapped and murdered.

“It is important to note, the case is still currently open/active, and ALL possibilities and leads are being thoroughly investigated,” Lee said.

Moseley made his debut on The Walking Dead in 2012. He played one of the pet zombies that trailed Michonne, played by Danai Gurira.
