New details regarding the July 2020 shooting assault of Megan Thee Stallion by Tory Lanez were revealed in court on Dec. 14. Lanez reportedly shot Stallion in the feet in Los Angeles after a party at Kylie Jenner’s house in the Hollywood Hills.

Los Angeles Police Department detective Rayan Stogner testified in court that Stallion said she saw Lanez holding a gun before shooting the 26-year-old in her feet. Stogner testified that before shooting Stallion, he yelled, “Dance, b***h!”

“Megan observed Mr. Peterson holding a firearm and then she observed him start to shoot,” said Det. Stogner, adding that Stallion was getting out of the vehicle when she was shot.

“Megan immediately felt pain to her feet, observed blood, fell to the ground, and then crawled to an adjacent driveway of a residence…She described her injuries as bleeding profusely. Megan stated the defendant apologized for doing it and offered her money and begged her to please not say anything and made a reference to the fact he was already on probation and he begged her not to say anything.”

Stallion also gave testimony on Instagram Live after the shooting and named Tory Lanez as the person who shot her. The rapper underwent surgery to have bullets removed from both feet.

“Yes, this n***a Tory shot me,” she said. “You shot me. And you got your publicist and your people going to these blogs lying and s**t. Stop lying. Why lie? I don’t understand. I tried to keep the situation off the internet, but you dragging it. You really f**kin’ dragging it. Muthaf**kas talkin’ ’bout I hit this n***a. I never hit you. Muthaf**kas was like, ‘Oh, she mad ’cause he was tryna f**k with Kylie.’ No, I wasn’t. You dry shot me.”

“Me, you, my homegirl and yo’ security. Everybody in the car arguing,” she said to Lanez. “I’m in the front seat, this n***a in the backseat. I get out the car, I’m done arguing. I don’t wanna argue no more. I get out. I’m walking away. This n***a, from out the backseat of the car, start shooting me. You shot me. I ain’t get cut by no glass.”

Lanez denied shooting Stallion and has accused her of using him to promote herself. He has also claimed that he was set up and denied Stogner’s testimony via Twitter.

“NAH … i need someone to REPORT what was REALLY said in court today,” he wrote. “45 minutes of my lawyer stating contradictory evidence that proves my innocence should never come back as one false story forced to the media.”

Lanez’s attorney Shawn Holley asked Det. Stogner if he’d asked Stallion how much alcohol she’d been drinking the night of the shooting. After Stogner replied that he did not, Holley implied that Stallion was too intoxicated to know who’d shot her.

“But you are aware alcohol can impair a person’s perception and their ability to recall?” questioned Holley.

Stallion criticized the media for downplaying her assault in several Twitter posts on Dec. 15.

Megan Thee Stallion, from Houston, Texas, recently graduated from Texas Southern University. Lanez will go on trial for the shooting in January of next year.
