T.J. Holmes’ alleged affairs with ABC staffers are reportedly under investigation, and he may lose his job if the company’s rules were broken.
According to Page Six, Holmes’ alleged affairs have “put him under a microscope at ABC.” As such, HR has been searching through his past history to determine if he violated company rules by dating a “lower ranking” employee.
“It’s one thing for him to have a relationship with another anchor. The question is whether he violated company rules by dating less senior employees,” an insider told the outlet about the investigation.
The action comes over a week after news broke that the now-former GMA host and his co-anchor Amy Robach had allegedly been hooking up. He was also recently accused of being involved with several female colleagues at ABC, including producer Natasha Singh, and “at least one other staffer.”
ABC chief Kim Godwin reportedly isn’t happy about the Holmes and Robach scandal, as it may impact squeaky clean GMA image.
“For now, I am going to take Amy and T.J. off the air, while we figure this out,” Godwin allegedly stated during a routine 9 a.m. call, according to a network insider who leaked it to Page Six.
Sis2Sis previously reported that Holmes and his wife, Marilee Fiebig, have allegedly had marital problems for several years. Insiders said he moved out of their shared space about “four months ago.”
“The only person he could lean on was Amy when he was having trouble with his marriage again recently,” a source told Page Six. “Amy was the first person he reached out to. No one knew he was getting a divorce until yesterday.”
Reporters DeMarco Morgan and Stephanie Ramos have since been filling Holmes and Robach’s GMA3 seats on the daytime show.
