UPDATE: Snoop Dogg Thanks Fans for Prayers and Says His Mom Is Still Fighting

Rapper Snoop Dogg recently posted a photo to his Instagram sharing with his fans that his mom, Beverly Tate, is still fighting for her health and thanked everyone for their prayers.

As his caption, Snoop wrote, “Happy Sunday me and my brothers went to c mama today, and she opened up her eyes to c us and let us know she still fighting. God is good💕🙏🏾 thanks for all the prayers 1 day at a time.”

As previously reported, in May, the artist said that his mother had been hospitalized but didn’t say why.

Snoop’s update post comes after sharing several photos of his mother and asking fans and friends for their prayers.

In May, he said, “I need all my prayer warriors for momma right now please and thank you 🙏🏾🌹💝.”

Several celebrities, artists, fans and collaborators made sure that Snoop was feeling the love by expressing their support for Snoop and his family at this time.

Queen Latifah commented under his post, saying, “Faith.”

Sasha Banks also expressed her thoughts and prayers and commented, “Sending love.”

Shad Moss was another artist to express his support,

“Pull through, mama Snoop. We love you!!! You all in my prayers unc. I love you, man,” Moss commented on the post.

Snoop is a momma’s boy through and through.

According to People, Snoop said Tate convinced him last February to apologize to Gayle King when he judged her interview with WNBA star Lisa Leslie following the tragic death of NBA player Kobe Bryant.

“My mother raised me in church, and she raised me to respect women,” Snoop said of seeing the error of his ways. “It was certain things she said to me that took me back to being a little kid. And when your mama can make you feel like a kid, that’s when you gotta get right.”
