UPDATE: Rapper Fetty Wap Breaks Silence On Prison Sentence: “If It Ain’t Life, It Ain’t Forever”

Rapper Fetty Wap broke his silence regarding his prison sentence after being arrested and charged on multiple drug counts on Oct. 28.

According to HotNewHipHop, the New Jersey native, born Willie Junior Maxwell II, took to social media about facing the maximum sentence and spending the rest of his life in prison.

“Loyalty can be both a great trait and a deadly one… choose wisely with who you stand with but never change what you stand for. Never bend, Never Fold,” wrote the rapper. “Head up like a nose bleed #ImOnBorrowedTime if it ain’t life it ain’t forever – I’ll be back better wiser and smarter.”

Though the rapper plans to spend some time in prison, he remains hopeful on his return home.

Sis2Sis previously reported the “Trap Queen” artist was arrested

on Thursday, Oct. 28, at Citi Field in Queens, New York. He has been indicted for a conspiracy to sell over 100 kilograms of various drugs, including heroin, cocaine, and fentanyl. The rapper was one of six people charged with “conspiring to distribute and possess controlled substances,”

According to the Patch, Fetty Wap is accused of running an alleged multi-billion dollar drug organization in Long Island and New Jersey.

Timothy D. Sini, a district attorney in Long Island, New York, commented on the alleged crimes, “These defendants ran a multimillion-dollar bicoastal drug distribution organization with Suffolk County as their home base. They were wholesale drug dealers who pumped massive quantities of narcotics into our communities,”

Investigators reportedly seized over $1.5 million during their search, including multiple guns, ammunition, fentanyl pills, and other drugs, according to a report from ABC 7.

In an exclusive with the Patch, Fetty Wap’s lawyer reportedly stated that he hopes this is “all a big misunderstanding,” adding, “We’re hoping he gets released so we can clear things up expeditiously.”

In early November, the rapper was released from jail on a $500,000 bond as he awaits trial in his federal drug case.
