UPDATE: Pretty Ricky’s Baby Blue Sentenced To 20 Months Behind Bars In PPP Loan Scheme Case

Baby Blue of Pretty Ricky fame has reportedly been sentenced to 20 months in prison due to his alleged involvement in a PPP loan scheme.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, the Florida native was also “ordered to pay $1,111345.23 in restitution and $1,134,782 in forfeiture” following the “Grind with Me” artist pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud this past August.

Per a press release from the Department of Justice, Blue, whose real name is Diamond Smith, “admitted to obtaining a PPP loan of $426,717 for his company, Throwbackjersey.com LLC, using falsified documents and false information. Upon completion of that loan, Smith then sought and obtained another PPP loan of $708,065 for his other company, Blue Star Records LLC, using falsified documents and false information.”

The release added that “Smith admitted to using PPP loan proceeds at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and on luxury items, including a Ferrari.”

Tweeting out on Monday following the news, Blue claimed that he isn’t the only celebrity to receive a Paycheck Protection Program loan. “

Lol Yall wannna see some AMAZING s**t… Google: “Celebrities that got PPP Loans” Since yall think I’m the only one!” the 37-year-old wrote. “WAKEUP & STAY WOKE!”

As Sister 2 Sister previously reported, Blue shared earlier this year that he wasn’t “tripping” over the case, adding, “Only thing Ima really miss is time away from my kids. I just had a baby boy this year, and Ima miss his little giggles for sure!”

Bule has had a hellacious year. In April 2021, the “On the Hotline” crooner was unfortunately

shot and injured while out celebrating his single “Jerry Rice” at a Florida bowling alley. He was hospitalized and placed under critical condition following the shooting, which reportedly occurred after a suspect attempted to snatch his gold chain.
