P Valley star Nico Annan is the latest to put Florida rapper Plies on blast for dissing the popular Starz series.
In a viral video posted on August 17 to Twitter, Plies spoke about the intimate scenes in P-Valley’s Season 2 finale. The rapper said he was “traumatized” by the gay sex scenes.

Annan, who plays Uncle Clifford in the show, spoke to TMZ about the Plies’ video and Lil Duval’s tweet, saying it was “clickbait.”
“I say that they have brothers and sisters and others that are around them that are of the LGBT community–they have for a long time, and it’s time they started to see them,” said Annan.
“I think it’s just something that they say for clickbait,” he continued. “I’ve never met Plies, and I’ve never met Lil Duval, you know, but they are artists… I don’t censor what they say, what they rap about, you know, I bounce to some of their music, but I also don’t tolerate foolishness and ignorance… it’s a new day.”

J. Alphonse Nicholson, who plays Lil Murda on the show, addressed Plies’ comments during an interview with XONecole.
“This video of Plies is going viral. Plies talking about how he was traumatized from the show,” the actor said. “It’s interesting because he knew every character’s name, knew exactly what they said, and so you wonder, are people traumatized? Are you confused? Or are you just scared to kinda accept maybe who you are or those who are around you are?”
“Where does that fear come from? Where does the confusion come from? You know? That’s kinda—I’m glad that these sex scenes have started those conversations,” Nicholson said.
