Mama Jones and her son Jim Jones have spoken out after the musician received backlash for revealing his mother taught him how to kiss.
The 62-year-old woman explained that she didn’t teach him how to kiss by kissing him on his mouth. Jim Jones said that people on social media took his comments too far.
Social media went into a frenzy after Jones said his mother taught him how to kiss during an interview with Angela Lee. Jones explained how his mother educated him on the birds and the bees.
“My moms taught me how to kiss when I was young,” Jones said. “She taught me how to tongue kiss when I was younger.”
“Like what’s the instructions?” questioned Yee asked.
“It wasn’t no instructions, she showed me with her mouth,” Jones replied.

Mama Jones took to Instagram Live to clarify her son’s revelation and called people out for their disgusting comments. She also said that there was “no tonguing down.”
“The comments are crazy and everybody needs to understand ya taking it wrong,” she said. “I am not a nasty mother, all I am is a mother that was teaching my son exactly how to survive and how to actually be able to deal with a woman….There wasn’t no tonguing down, it was a way of showing you how to tongue.”
Mama Jones went to say that there was no mouth to mouth, and she only demonstrated by sticking out her tongue to show him how to kiss. She added that she taught her son about sex education and how to deal with life.

Jones also took to Instagram to clarify his statements and said he thought his childhood stories were funny. He also scolded folks for taking things too seriously but thanked them for making him go viral.
“For the record, I love my mama more than anything in the world. And for the record, it was a joke. People take things way too far. Um, it don’t bother us anyway, but let’s get it clear, don’t…that’s weak what ya’ll trying to project. Something simple, something from my childhood, we was talking about childhood things. I thought that was funny, I appreciate you mommy for helping me out, but no.”
