UPDATE: Lisa Raye Makes Distasteful Comment Regarding Saucy Santana’s Anti-Black Tweets About Blue Ivy

NAACP Image Award-nominated actress Lisa Raye McCoy recently made a distasteful comment regarding rising rapper Saucy Santana’s anti-Black “nappy-headed” tweets about Blue Ivy.

Lisa made the weird comment during the latest episode of FOX Soul’s Cocktails With Queens.

“He couldn’t say that about baby Bella, because she doesn’t have nappy hair,” she said in reference to her granddaughter.

The 54-year-old’s sentiments were in response to fellow co-host, NAACP Image Award-winning actress Vivica A. Fox, who asked how she would react if Santana’s old tweets were about Bella instead of Blue.

Vivica then interjected, saying, “It doesn’t make a difference. It’s a child.”

Santana, whose real name is Justin Harris, was previously dragged online after tweets resurfaced of him calling Blue’s tresses “nappy” and comparing her to North West in 2014. North is the biracial child of Grammy Award-winning rapper and entrepreneur Kanye West and media personality Kim Kardashian.

Lisa continued her spiel, noting that she doubted Blue’s parents, legendary Grammy Award-winning rapper and businessman Jay-Z and Grammy Award-winning singer Beyonce, cared about the comments.

“You know what, I think those [kinds] of comments–first of all, it would automatically make me go, ‘who the hell and who are you? You don’t know me, you don’t know her, [and] I don’t give a s**t. I would’ve [taken] it there because I don’t think that they even care that much. I don’t think they really care about this comment, really.”

Another fellow co-host, Claudia Jordan, chimed in with her thoughts about Santana’s tweets, saying that calling Blue Ivy’s hair nappy was “ridiculous” and that the rapper wasn’t “Miss America” himself.

“Saying Blue Ivy has nappy hair is very ridiculous, A, B, the child is doing better than 99.9 percent of people in America…And Saucy, you ain’t Miss America yourself. I’m sorry, I hate when people do that and talk about a kid and you know, you have a lot of things going on with you.”
