Dr. Dre has reportedly been ordered to pay $1.5 million in additional lawyer fees to his ex-wife, Nicole Young leaving her with a total of $4 million in what has turned out to be a costly divorce battle.
According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, a judge in the divorce case has mandated a temporary order detailing the money he will have to pay his estranged wife, Young.
The rapper had already dished out an exorbitant amount of money in spousal support but has now been ordered to pay an extra $1.55 million in lawyer fees.
“The attorney’s training and experience in family law. Ms. Samantha F. Spector and Lisa Helfend Meyer, certified family law specialists, have significant years of experience in family law and have extensive practical experience in complex family law matters. Considering the level of the case’s complexity and the issues involved, an attorney of their level and skill is reasonably necessary. Therefore, the various hourly rates of the primary and secondary attorneys participating in this litigation are reasonable and justifiable,” the order read.

As far as the attorney fees, the judge said, “considering what is just and reasonable and using the Court’s own experience and knowledge that the payee’s reasonable fees are $3,000,000.00 and costs are $ 550,000.00.”
Dre has been ordered to pay all of the lawyer’s fees due to Young’s pronounced “disparity” and his assets and income. The court order mentioned that Nicole’s assets total to “approximately 39 million dollars” while Dr. Dre has a whopping “243 million dollars.”
As we previously reported, Dre had already paid Young $2 million, and in the past year, another two payments of $500,000 each.
Young filed for divorce from Dre in the summer of 2020 after over 20 years of marriage.
