On Wednesday, Deborah Joy Winans, 38, shared an adorable photo of her infant son, Terrence David Williams, with fans on Instagram.
While embracing her new role in motherhood, the Greenleaf actress captioned the post, “My little love💗 Happy Wednesday 😘” as she spent time with him at what appeared to be a football game.

Fans quickly flooded the comment section as they gushed over his adorably chubby cheeks. Actress Yvette Nicole Brown commented, “He looks like his daddy!” Other followers also agreed that baby Terrence looked identical to his father, Terrence Williams. Another user said, “Omgeeeeee stole his daddy’s whole faceeeee!” Winans uncle and singer Bebe Winans commented on the post, “Nita, you have two grown beautiful babies already, haha.”
As Sis2Sis previously reported, the 38-year-old announced she was pregnant in August. In an interview with Essence, she opened up about the difficulties she faced during her pregnancy.
“As long as I can get to 28, we should be okay,” Winans told the publication, when she was 26 weeks at the time. “Once we get to 28 weeks, [my doctor] knows that he’ll be good and healthy if he came that early. So, 28 is the goal.”
Winans and husband of eight years, Williams, knew their unborn son would likely arrive early before their due date. Before she found out she was pregnant, the singer discovered fibroids the size of a watermelon that developed in her uterus. She later had surgery to remove all eight fibroids and consulted a doctor to find out if she could conceive a child.
Despite her issues with fibroids, the actress was finally able to get pregnant. However, the complications during her pregnancy were life-threatening.
“When she started to tell me the things that will happen in my body because of the fibroids and the things that the baby might face, I just was like, ‘Okay, this is really, really serious,’” she said.
“I was in so much pain. I didn’t even understand what was happening. I could barely get out of bed,” she continued.
In October, Winans and her husband welcomed baby Terrence into the world. Named after his great-grandfather, he weighed 8 lbs, 2 oz at birth.
Last month, Winans and her husband sat down with People Magazine, providing an update after experiencing a difficult pregnancy. At the time, the actress was seven weeks postpartum, saying she was “feeling better and better every day.”
“Every day I look at him, I just think, number one, what a miracle he is, because when they took out my fibroids, the size of the one was like a basketball,” said Winans, who had surgery to remove the fibroids at four weeks postpartum. “The fact that he was able to grow in there is just amazing.”
We’re happy to see Winans and baby Terrence doing well!
