After a successful collaboration that lasted several years, Adidas and Beyoncé have announced that they will be parting ways.
The news comes as a surprise to many fans of the singer and the sportswear brand, who have enjoyed several successful releases together, including the Ivy Park clothing line.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the alleged split comes nearly two months after sales of Beyoncé’s Ivy Park clothing line plummeted by 50%, bringing in just $40 million in 2022 compared to $93 million in 2021.
At the time, the Wall Street Journal reported that the line was projected to bring in well over $250 million in sales last year.
Beyoncé initially launched Ivy Park with Topshop in 2016 before acquiring 100% of the brand from British billionaire Philip Green’s company in 2018. The following year, she teamed up with Adidas to launch an inclusive unisex line that catered to both men and women.
The line featured several styles for adults and children, including leggings, hoodies, dresses, socks, sports bras, and sneakers in sizes ranging from XXXS to XXXXL.

In a statement released on Thursday, Adidas and Beyoncé said that they had “mutually agreed” to end their partnership, but did not provide any details on the reasons behind the split.
Despite the split, both Adidas and Beyoncé are expected to continue to be successful in their respective fields.
Beyoncé is set to embark on her highly anticipated “Renaissance World Tour” in May. The tour will begin with overseas performances before kicking off the North American leg in Toronto on July 8. She will also perform in several US cities, including Chicago, New York City, Boston, Atlanta, Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Houston, and New Orleans.
The end of Beyoncé’s partnership with Adidas marks a significant turn of events for the Ivy Park brand. However, it remains to be seen what the future holds for the singer’s clothing line.
