UPDATE: 50 Cent Says He Talked To Tyler Perry After Telling Him And Oprah They Should Apologize To Mo’Nique

50 Cent disclosed that he talked to Tyler Perry after telling him and Oprah that they should apologize to Mo’Nique for allegedly blackballing her.

On Mar. 16, the Grammy Award-winning rapper and director took to Instagram to tell fans about the conversation he had with Tyler about the allegations.

“I talk[ed] to Tyler today. He told me he never told anyone not to hire @therealmoworldwide, and he is happy I decided to work with her,” he wrote.

He added that the 52-year-old director said Oprah seemed okay with Mo’Nique.

“He said he couldn’t speak for Oprah, but he is sure she is fine with Mo’Nique and has even brought her up for things Mo’Nique has no idea about. I’m so happy for Mo right now! GLG. GreenLightGang.”

50 concluded his post, saying the legendary comedienne and actress was “back,” although, technically, she never left the industry.

“She Back.”

The Queens native’s post came about one week after his initial Instagram post about Mo’Nique, saying he wanted to offer her a role on his hit STARZ show, Power: Book 2. He added that he wanted to see her “on top” again.

The Golden Globe and Academy Award-winning comedienne previously called out Tyler, Oprah, and Lee Daniels when she disappeared from the spotlight for refusing to promote Precious during award season.

“I said one word, and that was ‘no,'” she told Steve Harvey during her interview on his show in 2019.

That year, the Maryland-born actress sued Netflix for racial and pay discrimination after they offered her $500,000 in 2017 to have a comedy special on their streaming platform. They allegedly didn’t even want to negotiate with her to ensure she received the best compensation for her work. As such, she passed on the offer and put them on blast.

However, in 2020, a judge in the case denied Netflix’s second motion to dismiss the 54-year-old’s lawsuit.

Mo’Nique has seemed to be in great spirits, as she shared behind-the-scenes videos of her comedy shows and her ongoing fitness journey.
