Azealia Banks is certainly not shy about speaking her mind and will stand by what she says. Banks recently got into a Twitter argument with two users who had an issue with the rapper speaking complimenting Cardi B’s song “Bodak Yellow,” even though Banks has dissed her in the past.
“Yo Bodak Yellow is really still a top-tier female rap record,” Banks’ tweet read. “It’s so f**king, NEW YORK.”

Twitter user @kvngsir” decided to call Banks out on her switcheroo act.
“You’ve dragged her for years, but all of a sudden you’re a big fan, switching like…,” the Twitter user wrote.

An hour later, Banks clapped back with, “It’s mad funny how fans be thinking they know what goes on behind the scenes. Or think artists care about what y’all think about industry we work in. I’ve always thought Bodak Yellow was fire. Plus, Cardi B’s personal, mental and cultural glow-up is solid.”

A different user, @britspepsi, then responded by posting a video of Banks theorizing that the music industry made Cardi B with the intent to prevent Black women from gaining any power in the industry and wrote, “This is you. Basically calling Cardi an industry plant.”
this is you basically calling cardi an industry plant

@kvngsir commented that the video wasn’t the only one where Banks denounced Cardi B.
exactly like make it make sense, and this isn’t even the only video of her denouncing that girl and reducing her to nothing more than a weapon to be used against we all know who

The “212” rapper’s response to @britspepsi surprisingly wasn’t bashful. In fact, she gave Cardi B more props.
“[Sic] She was an industry plant, lmao,” she said. “But sis took advantage of the opportunity and rode that bitch the fuck out, assembled the right team, seized the moment and made herself a cultural mainstay. U have to respect it.”

The conversation then switched to Australian rapper Iggy Azalea, in which Banks has been vocal about not liking her and even accused her of cultural appropriation.
but yet you don’t like Iggy? At least she cares enough to actually create her own artistry rather than have yt men make her sound and image to be a pawn against other artists.

EXACTLYYY, and even after she released invasion of privacy, none of her “art” was authentic and herself…from the stealing dojas visuals to the making songs for tiktok
— A J (@britspepsi) June 7, 2022
! Sis really was supposed to use T.I for whatever he was worth, drop the blaccent – give fancy and a slew of other kesha type joints, then give fashion mogul Victoria Beckham KUNT. But she’s giving the single mom thing she really thought whiteness would shield her from. Damn https://t.co/7TVUUOAKHe

Lmao and ur dumb ass is really trying it. House music is a black American art form. All that music u think is native to the UK is lifted from black American groups like underground resistance, drexciya etc. Donna Summer is literally the first techno artist in history.
— Azealia Banks (@Azealiaishere) June 7, 2022
What does house music have to do with anything I was referring to writing her music??? don’t change the subject to fit a narrative.
— 𝕵𝖆𝖞յ (@kvngsir) June 7, 2022
I really don’t listen to her music enough to know. I wouldn’t care if she wrote it or not. None of it moves me. I know fancy bc of Charli. And I remember that my world shit cause I deborah cox’d that beat and bodied it but that’s y’all girl
