Since the viral video of Da Baby’s offensive comments at Miami’s Rolling Loud began making the rounds on social media earlier this week, many people, celebrities and fans alike, have weighed in on the controversy. Joining stars Elton John and Questlove in calling out the rapper Madonna issued a “message to Da Baby” on Instagram yesterday, educating him on HIV/AIDs stigma and reminding him that everyone deserves respect.
“If you’re going to make hateful remarks to the LGBTQ+ community about HIV/AIDS, then know your facts,” the pop icon wrote Thursday. “After decades of hard-won scientific research— there are now life-saving medicines available to children born with HIV, to people who contract HIV through blood transfusions, dirty needles or exchange of bodily fluids…AID’s is not transmitted by standing next to someone in a crowd,”
Stating that she wants to put her “cellphone lighter up and pray for your ignorance,” Madonna continued, “No one dies of AIDS in 2 or 3 weeks anymore. Thank God.”
“People like you are the reason we are still living in a world divided by fear,” she continued. “All Human beings should be treated with dignity and respect regardless of race, gender, sexual preference or religious beliefs. AMEN. @dababy.”

Another fan joked, “da baby got cleared by madonna & Elton john. I’d never show my face again,”
