R&B crooner Trey Songz has turned himself in following allegations of punching two people at a Bowling Alley.
According to TMZ, Trey reportedly turned himself in to NYPD after he was accused of punching two people at an NYC bowling alley. In a statement provided to the outlet, his attorney, Mitch Schuster, shared that he’s been “proactively communicating with NY law enforcement.”
“We have been proactively communicating with NY law enforcement, the DA, and all those involved. While we will respectfully and proactively work through all the appropriate channels we are confident that Trey will be fully cleared of any wrongdoing,” Schuster said.
He added that his client surrendering to authorities isn’t necessarily an admission of guilt.
Trey was reportedly booked, given a desk appearance ticket and then released.
Last month, Sis2Sis reported, an unidentified woman alleged that the singer attacked her in late October while at a public bowling alley bathroom. The victim, a New York resident, later filed a police report alleging that he punched her in the face and dragged her by the hair, an incident that landed her in the hospital for visible injuries.
TMZ also reported that another alleged unidentified victim, a man, came forward saying Trey hit him in the eye, but he refused medical treatment.
The Virginia-born artist made headlines on endless occasions for his alleged behavior over the past few years. In November, veteran Queens rapper 50 Cent banned him from his annual Tycoon Houston Weekend for “acting crazy” at the event.
At the time, 50 shared a now-deleted Instagram post of Songz holding an alcohol bottle and the words “BANNED FROM TYCOON” across the image.
“Last TYCOON he crashed a Wraith,” 50 wrote about the R&B artist. “This TYCOON, he was acting crazy, wanting to fight and s**t over the girls. He broke some s**t up in his room. Nah, tell @treysongz he can’t come. SMH.”
An official motive for Trey’s most recent “beatdown” allegations hasn’t been revealed.
