Trey Songz And His Attorneys Responds To Dylan Gonzalez’s Rape Allegations

Trey Songz has finally responded to rape allegations made by former college basketball star Dylan Gonzales.

On Tuesday, a spokesperson for the 37-year-old singer told TMZ that Songz was taking legal action against Gonzales.

“Trey and his team are confident in the legal process and that there will be an abundance of exonerating information to come over the next few weeks,” the source said. “There will be an abundance of exonerating information to come over the next few weeks.”

The news comes almost two weeks after Gonzales dropped the bombshell on Twitter.

The 24-year-old beauty wrote, “Trey Songz is a rapist. Lord forgive me. I Couldn’t hold that in another year. See you in 2022.”

She refrained from sharing any further details – except the alleged rape occurred in a well-known Las Vegas hotel.

On January 11, Gonzalez doubled down on the rape allegation posting another message to her social media accounts the same day Songz threatened the woman with legal action.

“With what seems like endlessly reoccurring news of the alleged sexual assaults committed by Trey Songz, I am forced to repeatedly relive in my mind and suffer anew, the long-suppressed horror and unbearable PTSD of my rape by his very hands at a well known Las Vegas hotel,” the New Orleans Gators baller wrote. “I want to send my love, strength, and hope to all who are victims of sexual assault and its fatal nature. You are not alone. I stand with you and encourage all those who have suffered abuse to speak out and come forward. Suppression of our voices only emboldens our oppressors, and you cannot heal what you do not reveal.”

Gonzalez also asked for privacy regarding the alleged rape. “At this time, I humbly request my privacy, consideration and compassion while I fully commit to pursue the best course of action and all of my legal option.”

Gonzalez’s attorneys – George Vrebeck and Ariel Mitchell – told TMZ that the team is deciding what legal direction to take and will likely file a civil suit against Songz. The pair did not reveal if they were involving the police.

Songz is still navigating a $20 million lawsuit by Jahuara Jeffries. The woman accused the “I Can’t Help But Wait” singer of sexual assault in Miami.
