Travis Scott’s latest track “Meltdown” disses his ex-girlfriend and social media personality, Kylie Jenner, and her new man, actor Timothée Chalamet.
After being in a public on-and-off-again relationship for the past few years, Scott and Jenner, who share two kids – Stormi, 5 and Aire, 1, decided to amicably split and co-parent shortly after welcoming the birth of their son last year.
However, despite agreeing to split amicably, Scott couldn’t help himself on “Meltdown” where he took a few shots at Jenner’s new boyfriend.
At the 2:12 mark, Scott raps “Chocolate AP and chocolate the Vs/ got the Willy Wonka factory (Vs)/ Burn a athlete like it’s calories/ find another flame hot as me, bitch.”
To translate, Scott pays homage to the expensive and favored watch brand amongst celebrities, Audemars Piguet. He then referenced Willy Wonka, in which Chalamet will be starring as Wonka in the latest reboot. Next, he is seemingly implying that the Jenner and Kardahsian sisters get over on athletes quite often with the line “burn a athlete like it’s calories.” Lastly, he implores his ex to “find another flame” that looks as good as he does.
Some people on Twitter speculate that Scott is jealous over how Jenner appears to be happy in her relationship with Chalamet. “He’s not getting over his BM and is bitter about it. Thinking he’s still the prize as opposed as [sic] the person he’s coping about,” one user shared. “Wasn’t he cheating on her anyways? clearly he didn’t want her so why’s he throwing a fit over her moving on? Smh,” another user commented.
The newly released track features Drake (who also disses Pusha T and by association, Pharell) and is off his latest album, “Utopia,” which dropped yesterday. The rapper’s fourth studio album boasts 19 tracks and features damn near everybody including Beyoncè, James Blake, SZA, Dave Chapelle and 21 Savage to name a few.
