In September, R&B crooner Tory Lanez has reportedly been placed on house arrest over his alleged altercation with fellow R&B artist August Alsina.
According to TMZ, Superior Court Judge David Herriford ruled, in a Los Angeles Court on Oct. 26, that Lanez would remain on house arrest until Nov. 28. Herriford’s ruling was reportedly motivated by an incident brought to court in which the musician allegedly assaulted Alsina in Chicago.
As Sis2Sis previously reported, the New Orleans native shared images of himself looking bloodied in an elevator via Instagram and alleged that Lanez knocked him out.
“As I’m exiting the building after the show last night, A 4’11 sized leprechaun ran down on me w/ 8 oversized security n****s, whom I greeted each individually upon their walk up as they tried to press me,” he wrote about the alleged altercation. “Whole time, I’m one deep. No security.”
Alsina continued, saying the “It Doesn’t Matter” artist had a “broken ego.”
“Tory continues to ask w/ a broken ego why I didn’t dap him up; I go on to tell him. I was a fan of him and didn’t understand him speaking on my business publicly,” he said.
His detailed post quickly went viral on social media, and, shortly after, The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office confirmed that it would begin investigating the alleged incident.
Lanez’s house arrest orders arrived ahead of his upcoming trial in connection with the incident where he was accused of shooting Megan Thee Stallion. In 2020, rumors began swirling that he shot her in the foot and yelled, “Dance, b*tch!”
He was later charged with “assaulting a female friend in the Hollywood Hills area” the Los Angeles D.A.’s office said.
“They’ll laugh now… I’ll laugh later…[ticket, devil smiley, circus tent and painting easil emojis],” the artist wrote in an Instagram post on Oct. 27.
