“He was traveling, most of the time out of the country, during the relevant time period in June, July, and August,” his lawyer said. “He also frequently performs on cruise ships. As a result, he is seldom home in California.”
According to Todrick, he only became aware of the case when he received a “notice of levy.” He contested that his assistant, who allegedly received the paperwork, was not authorized to accept service and failed to pass it on to him.
