TLC’s Chilli And Actor Matthew Lawrence Announce Plans To Expand Family

Former teen heartthrob Matthew Lawrence and TLC’s Chilli are ready to start a family.

Lawrence, best known for his role in Boy Meets World, has never had children before, while Chilli, whose real name is Rozonda Thomas, has a 25-year-old son from a previous relationship.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Lawrence, 43, spoke

about his relationship with the 52-year-old and how he feels she is a “special human being.” He also shared that the couple’s plans for the future include starting a family together.

“That’s the game plan. That’s what we’re trying to do,” he said.

The couple became official around Thanksgiving and had been flaunting their relationship. Their relationship caused controversy, as the announcement came just a few months after Lawrence’s divorce from “Dancing with the Stars” dancer Cheryl Burke was finalized. However, Lawrence and Chilli appear to be going strong, with Lawrence praising Chilli’s morals and values, as well as their shared love of family.

“Life is always a surprise,” Lawrence said. “My life is in a complete bloom right now. I get to spend time with an amazing woman like Chilli. I’ve never gotten to be able to experience that kind of relationship before, so it’s quite special. She’s a really, really special human being. I wish more people on the planet were like her. We’d be much better off.”

“She’s just got, you know, her morals and her values,” Lawrence added. “The way she treats her family. She loves my family — so important. We get along.”
