Tina Knowles-Lawson Says ‘It Seemed Like Yesterday You Came Into The World’ As She Celebrates Blue Ivy’s 10th Birthday

Blue Ivy Carter celebrated her 10th birthday on Jan. 7, and her grandmother Tina Knowles-Lawson posted a photo to her Instagram account along with a sweet caption to commemorate the occasion. 

In the caption of her post, she wrote, “My beautiful Talented and super smart Grandaughter Blue Ivy turned ten today! God, it seemed like yesterday you came into the world running things. Blue is my little Capricorn Twin.”

The picture captured the two standing side-by-side on the beach with a beautiful sunset behind them.

She continued, “I prayed for her to be born on my birthday, but she did what she always does she came when she got good and ready 😂three days later, but we still share the bond.”

“She reminds me that ‘Grandma, you are acting just like a Capricorn,’” the matriarch added. “Blue gives the best advice like a grown person. I sometimes forget that she is so young!!!😂!😂.”

The doting grandmother closed the caption with, “Blue is one of those rare gifted people that can do everything well! God Blessed me the day you were born! My Sweet, Beautiful Baby Blue❤️❤️❤️🎂🎂💥Happy Birthday 🎂❤️🙏🏽.”

Celebrities flooded the comment section with their well wishes for Beyonce and Jay-Z’s firstborn child. Actress Yvette Nicole Brown said, “No way she’s that tall now!!!” While Nicole Ari Parker commented, “Happy Birthday Beautiful Blue! 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙” Gabrielle Union also commented with three red heart emojis. 

Ten years ago, Beyonce announced her pregnancy to the world during a memorable performance at the 2012 Video Music Awards. 

Since then, the talented ten-year-old has accompanied her mother on several musical projects, including Beyonce’s Lemonade, her self-titled visual album, and recently, on the Grammy-winning track “Brown Skin Girl” featuring Wizkid and SAINt JHN from The Lion King: The Gift soundtrack.

In December, she won the “Best Voiceover of a Children’s Audiobook” award during the 2021 Voice Arts Awards. The 10-year-old won the award for her narration of Hair Love
