Tina Knowles, the mother of Beyoncé and Solange Knowles, reportedly filed for divorce against her estranged husband and actor Richard Lawson on Wednesday.
According to TMZ, Tina wrote in the divorce documents that they separated on Tuesday and used the typical “irreconcilable differences” as their reason for divorce.
Neither Tina nor Richard released a public statement about their pending divorce, but the outlet claimed that Tina requested that the court take spousal support off the table.
Tina also reverted her name to Celestine Knowles, only adopting Richard’s last name when they tied the knot in 2015. They were married for eight years.
Following the divorce news, old interviews of the estranged couple surfaced, with internet users claiming the “writings were on the wall.” For example, in one interview, Tina claimed Richard wasn’t perfect, but he had qualities she adored, a response that clearly disappointed Richard. He shouldn’t be surprised, though; that’s Beyoncé’s mama.

On Thursday, the actor began trending all over Twitter, but not because of his and Tina’s divorce. Twitter users are appalled after discovering Richard’s pornographic likes
