Tiffany Haddish Reaches Deal With Sexual Assault Accusers To Seal Documents That Would Reveal Their Identities

Comedienne Tiffany Haddish has reportedly reached a deal with her sexual assault accusers to seal documents that would reveal their identities.

According to Radar Online, court documents reportedly indicate that Tiffany and the two alleged victims, Jane Doe and her brother John Doe, worked out an agreement privately. Due to John being a minor, all parties reportedly agreed that the complaint should remain sealed because images in the suit could reveal his identity.

“The full public availability of the Complaint could permit public identification of Plaintiff John Doe and, by association, Plaintiff Jane Doe,” the filing said.

Tiffany had previously moved the sexual assault case from state to federal court, where officials temporarily sealed the complaint because it contained multiple photos of John undressed. The judge then reportedly asked Tiffany and the accusers if they wanted it to be sealed or made public.

On Aug. 30, 22-year-old Jane sued the L.A. native and veteran comedian Aries Spears in California’s Superior Court for Los Angeles County on behalf of herself and John. In the lawsuit, Jane alleged that Tiffany “groomed” the plaintiffs, leaving them “traumatized for life.”

Jane also claimed that Tiffany allegedly said she’d help Jane get on T.V. and be included in the teen’s film reel. There, the now adult said the comedienne allegedly instructed her on how to perform sexual acts after watching a man and woman in a video. She further alleged that John was molested by Aries in 2014 after Tiffany allegedly told him he’d be taping a reel for Nickelodeon at Spears’ residence. As such, the court documents claimed that the famed funny woman “aided, abetted and watched Spears sexually molest a child.”

Tiffany’s lawyer said in a statement about the allegations that “Ms. Haddish” would not “be shaken down.”

Jane and John reportedly later wrote a letter to the judge explaining that they were open to discussing a settlement with the Hollywood star, who released an apologetic statement via Instagram.
