‘The Real’ co-host Jeannie Mai welcomed her first baby with legendary Atlanta rapper, Young Jeezy.
The Emmy-award-winning host announced the birth of their newborn on Jan. 11, via Instagram.
She posted a cute photo of a blanket covered in multicolored footprints under a sign that says, “baby! Jenkins.” Beneath the picture, Jeannie wrote a heartfelt caption.
“I asked family for a life of love and happiness. He sent me my family. Baby Jenkins is here,” she said. Following the cute caption are a baby bottle and heart emojis.

The post received an outpour of congratulatory comments from numerous celebrities and fans, including fellow ‘The Real’ co-hosts.
“Can’t wait to meet boo boo!!! I’m happy for you and hubby!!! #auntieloni,” wrote Loni Love.
Adrienne Bailon commented, “CONGRATULATIONS so happy for you!!! Can’t wait to meet Baby Jenkins. Xx.”
Tamera Mowry simply commented with three heart emojis.
While this is Jeannie’s first child, it’s Jeezy’s fourth. He has three children from previous relationships, Amra Nor Jenkins, Shyheim Jenkins, and Jadarius Jenkins.
Jeannie and the Grammy-nominated rapper began dating in 2018 and wed at a private ceremony in Atlanta last year. In September, the 42-year-old announced that she’s pregnant on an episode of ‘The Real.’
“It’s been really hard to keep secrets from you guys because we have so much to reveal here at the show including the fact that, I am pregnant!” she shared. She even revealed that she initially didn’t want to be a mother.

âIt feels surreal because this is the same home that I said so many defiant things,” she said. “You know, I was like, I know exactly what I want, I know exactly what kind of woman I want to be, and I always said, Iâd never be a mom.” Jeannie did, however, mention that she changed her tune when she fell in love with Young Jeezy.
“I do know that you never say never and that love can really change you,” she said.
Baby Jenkins’ name and gender is still unknown to the public.
Congratulations to the couple!
