The Internet Went Nuts After Discovering ‘Insecure’s’ Jay Ellis’ Wife Was White– Again

As HBO’s highly-successful series Insecure wraps up, the internet is abuzz with some fans discovering that one of the show’s heartthrobs is married to a white woman.

Jay Ellis, 39, who plays “Blue” on the hit show, has been accused of hiding his white wife, Serbian model Nina Senicar, 35, even though the two have been together since 2015, Radar Online reported. The couple has one daughter, Nora Grace, born in November 2019.

Fans on Twitter expressed their shock about the not-so-secret secret and sounded off on the social media platform.

A couple of Twitter users insinuated that the actor’s publicist recommended he keep his marriage to Senicar on the low not to upset his primarily Black female fanbase.

One person reenacted an alleged conversation of Ellis explaining to Senicar why he doesn’t share flicks of her on his social media.

Other fans of the show didn’t see the big deal and opined that he should be free to live his life.

Although Ellis hasn’t responded to the chatter, upon perusing his Instagram page– he doesn’t indicate that he is married to Senicar.  It does, for all intents and purposes, read Blackity Black.

To be fair, Senicar’s IG page is almost equally elusive save a touching photo of Ellis and their daughter, captioned, “My everything.”

On his love life, Ellis has addressed his swirl love in an interview with Charlamagne Tha God on the Breakfast Club in 2017.

Charlamagne asked him was he afraid of any backlash he could potentially receive because his bae was white.

Ellis responded, albeit cryptically, “I am in a relationship. I’m in a very happy relationship, and that’s where I leave it. I don’t really worry about anything else, and that’s it. I think for me, we give so much of ourselves in what we do no matter what side of the industry we’re on, so for me…a relationship for me is probably the most important thing that I think two people can have.”

With the show coming to an end, we hope all of the actors– regardless of who they are married to– go on to have successful, joy-filled lives.
