Sunday’s debut of BRAVO network’s new series SWV & Xscape: The Queens of R&B has already brought the drama. Fans sounded off on social media about the tense interaction of the Xscape members during one scene.
During one scene on the premiere, Xscape members Kandi Burruss, LaTocha Scott, Tameka “Tiny” Harris and Tamika Scott sat at the table with SWV members Cheryl “Coko” Gamble, Leanne “Lelee” Lyons and Tamara “Taj” Johnson-George. The singers were discussing their upcoming tour.
As Tamika threw out show ideas, most of the ladies eagerly listened to her thoughts while her sister, LaTocha, sat silently with a stank face. While the other women failed to read LaTocha’s vibe, SWV’s groupmate Taj asked the disenchanted singer, ‘What’s wrong?”
“You look so out of it,” she continued.
“No, I’m cool,” LaTocha responded.
“You sure?”
The “Who Can I Run To?” singer continued, “I just have reservations. I’m good, though.”
“Reservations about,” Taj pressed.
“I’m not excited,” LaTocha said flatly. “We got a lot of internal issues we gotta deal with.”
The tension LaTocha’s comment created could be cut with a knife. Kandi was utterly annoyed, while Tiny and Tamika looked uneasy.
SWV’s Taj tried to convince the 49-year-old singer that she should put whatever issues aside and get to the bag. LaTocha argued that she and fellow Xscape members don’t communicate. Coko interjected that she and the other members of SWV don’t talk, but they show up to do a job.

During a confessional, Kandi referenced the ongoing beef between the Scott sisters. Tamika claimed that LaTocha locked her out of a dressing room.
But more than that, the two sisters have been estranged over the years over money (LaTocha allegedly stole $30,000 in royalties from Tamika), the older sister’s husband and former manager allegedly threatening her sibling and LaTocha wanting to go out on her own.
Fans took to Twitter to comment on the tense interaction.

SWV & Xscape: The Queens of R&B is the culmination of the two girl groups reuniting after their 2021 Verzuz. On May 8, Xscape and SWV battled it out to the delight of fans.
BRAVO’s latest series airs on Sunday at 8 pm.
