According to TMZ, The Chi actor Barton Fitzpatrick was a victim of armed robbery in the early hours of Sunday, September 4, in Chicago.
Fitzpatrick was held up at gunpoint. The twenty-five-year-old Chicago natiive was in the passenger seat of his car when an armed gunman got into the backseat and threatened him. The robber allegedly planned on initially taking his car but abandoned the idea. The actor’s chain was stolen, along with a handful of his personal belongings. According to law enforcement, police believe that Fitzpatrick was lucky that he wasn’t harmed because the robber brandished a handgun at him. So far, no suspects have been identified or arrested.
Fitzpatrick was an intrinsic character in Lena Waithe’s drama television show called The Chi as a recurring character for two seasons, 16 episodes, as a gang leader on the critically-praised show.

According to his filmography, the Chicago native has also acted in other TV shows. He’s had roles in Chicago Justice, Empire, and Chicago P.D. He also has a role in BET+ 2022 film Wayward.
