Text Messages Reveal Jonathan Majors And Ex-Grace Jabbari Had A History Of Physical Violence

New details emerged in the assault and harassment case between actor Jonathan Majors and professional dancer Grace Jabbari. Text messages reveal the Marvel actor seemingly admitting to physical violence against his now-ex in a separate dispute six months before the March incident, People reported.

In the October pre-trial filing, prosecutors mentioned older text messages between Majors and Jabbari. Despite the messages happening six months prior, the text messages were approved as Molineux evidence, meaning the content in the messages related to the charges. They could provide necessary background information on the charges.

The 2022 events that led to their messages were seen as objectionable. But the presiding Judge, Michael Gaffey, told lawyers of both parties that the defendants allowed the prosecutors to use the messages as evidence through the cross-examination questions.

Priya Chaudhry, one of Majors’ lawyers, asked Jabbari why she told medical workers she didn’t know where she got her injuries from after their March 2023 incident. But Gaffey stated the question attacked her credibility “even though they knew there might be another reason she was not forthcoming.”

Prosecutors had Jabbari read the September 2022 messages between her and Majors on her fourth and final day on the stand. In the messages, Majors, 34, seemed fearful of Jabbari going to the hospital to get treated for her injuries because of the possibility of her undergoing questioning from the doctors.

“I fear you have no perspective of what could happen if you go to the hospital,” the (I) Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania actor texted Jabbari. “They will ask you questions, and as I don’t think you actually protect us, it could lead to an investigation even if you do lie, and they suspect something.”

It’s unclear what September 2022 events led to their messages.

The dancer assured her then-boyfriend that she wouldn’t mention him to doctors or indicate to them that he harmed her head.

“I will tell the doctor I bumped my head,” Jabbari responded.

Assistant District Attorney Kelli Galaway had to take over reading the text messages as Jabbari’s emotions prevented her from doing so.

“I will tell the doctor I bumped my head if I go. I’m going to give it one more day, but I can’t sleep, and I need some stronger painkillers. That’s all: why would I tell them what really happened when it’s clear I want to be with you?”

Their text messages turned disturbing once prosecutors began reading Majors’ threats to commit suicide in response to her wanting to go to the hospital to get treated for her injuries.

“Last night, I considered killing myself versus coming home,” Majors wrote to Jabbari. “I need love, too. Or maybe I’m such a monster and horrible man I don’t deserve it. And I should just kill myself. In this way, my existence is miserable. I want to die.”

Jabbari responded, “I will not go to the doctor if you don’t feel safe with me doing so or don’t trust me to. I promise you I would never mention you, but understand your fear.”

Majors continued on his suicide rent and scolded her for not hugging him after their fight.

“I will probably kill myself, it’s not really contemplating anymore,” he wrote. “I’m a monster, a horrible man, not capable of love. I’m killing myself soon.”

“Jonathan, you can’t say this. I’m going to have to tell someone,” Jabbari responded.

While prosecutors read the messages, Majors kept his head down. He looked at the jury after they were finished reading the messages.

Majors was arrested in March, facing two assault and harassment charges for his altercation with Jabbari in the back of a cab after dinner in Chinatown.
