Tessica Brown Orders ‘Bad Idea’ Song Creator To Stop Sampling Her Voice

Tessica Brown, also known as “Gorilla Glue Girl,” and her legal team have gathered and sent a handful of cease and desist letters to the creator of the “Bad Idea” song as well as to various social media platforms and streaming services to stop them from reaping the benefits of using her voice without her permission.

The viral hit was created by Cocoa Brown and used the audio of Tessica’s voice saying, “my hair, it don’t move,” which is a snippet of the popular Gorilla Glue mishap video that she’s notorious for, earlier this year.

According to TMZ, the song has already been removed from TikTok, Instagram Reels, Apple Music, and Spotify. Still, apparently, the creator, Cocoa Brown, is the main target of the cease and desist letter.

Tessica filed the legal documents because the content creator not only used her voice without permission but is also profiting from it and not cutting her in on any share of the funds. It also orders each person to stop using the song immediately and take down the content in question due to copyright infringement, as she claims others are using her image, likeness, and vocals.

In the official court documents to the woman, the letter stated, “To the extent it becomes necessary, Tessica intends to seek the recovery of all penalties, statutory damages and punitive damages for such knowing infringement as applicable.”

The “Bad Idea” song released in February is just now getting all the fame on socials after celebrities, like Damon Wayans Jr.’s daughter Aniya Wayans and Cardi B’s daughter Kulture, were seen on social media enjoying it.

Regardless, the Gorilla Glue queen deserves to be taken seriously and given her money.
